In this programme, the role of the guide will be not only to give you information but above all to let you discover panoramic views out of the traditional sightseeing tours.

This tourist package is dedicated to the person who likes travelling with a relaxed attitude and to the person who likes enjoying the landscapes, maybe sitting in a typical place tasting an excellent glass of local wine.

FROM GENOVA TO THE CINQUE TERRE

5 DAYS / 4 NIGHTS

1^st DAY: GENOVA

The participants will arrive in Genova, deposit their luggage at the hotel and have a welcome cocktail. Early in the afternoon, they will meet the tour guide and start a guided sightseeing tour of the largest historical centre in Europe. The tour starts with the outside of Colombo's House to take you, through Porta Soprana (dominated by two picturesque towers), in the middle of the old town, the one described in the songs of the famous Genoese singer-songwriters. So, you will reach the Old Harbour (Porto Antico), area recently restored, where you can find the famous Aquarium and the new “Galata Sea Museum”. Then, walking along the beautiful San Lorenzo's Street, where is located the homonymous Cathedral, you will reach Piazza De Ferrari. At the end of the tour, aperitif and dinner at the “Terrazze del Ducale Restaurant”. Transfer to the hotel and overnight stay.

2^nd DAY: SANTA MARGHERITA LIGURE, SAN FRUTTUOSO AND PORTOFINO

After breakfast at the hotel, mini-coach transfer to Santa Margherita Ligure and guided tour of one of the most celebrated and “exclusive” seaside resort of the Tigullio Gulf. Lunch in a restaurant. Early in the afternoon, steamer transfer to San Fruttuoso, a small village situated in a creek between Camogli and Portofino, and visit of the famous Abbey once belonging to the Doria Family. At the end of the visit, steamer transfer to Portofino and brief guided visit of the most famous village of the Eastern Riviera. Aperitif in the celebrated “Piazzetta” (little square). Then mini-coach transfer to Santa Margherita Ligure , dinner at the hotel and overnight stay.

3^rd DAY: RAPALLO, ZOAGLI AND LAVAGNA

After breakfast at the hotel you will meet the tour guide. Steamer transfer to Rapallo and visit of the village characterised by a wonderful castle on the sea. During the tour you will visit a pillow lace workshop. Lunch in a restaurant. Early in the afternoon mini-coach transfer to Zoagli to visit a silk velvet workshop. Then mini-coach transfer to San Salvatore dei Fieschi, for the guided visit of the beautiful Fieschi's Basilica, one of the most important medieval monuments in Liguria. At the end of the tour mini-coach transfer to the hotel, accommodation, dinner and overnight stay.

4^th DAY: THE CINQUE TERRE NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast at the hotel, you will meet the tour guide. Then the mini-coach will drive you at “Groppo di Manarola” (inside the Cinque Terre National Park), seat of the “Cinque Terre Wine Growers' Cooperative”, for about one hour guided visit to look at the different phases of viticulture and wine processing. Tasting of 3 local wines and of a glass of “Sciacchetrà” (raisin wine), real enological pearl among the Ligurian wines; you will also taste the famous “Monterosso's Anchovies” (food under the protection of Slow Food). At the end of the visit, you will be walking through the vineyards to Manarola, guided visit of the village and walking on to Riomaggiore. After the guided visit of Riomaggiore, steamer transfer to Vernazza and lunch in a restaurant. In the afternoon, steamer transfer to Monterosso, guided visit of the village and tasting of some local wines in a typical wine coffee bar in the village centre.

At the end of the tour, mini-coach transfer to Levanto, accommodation in the hotel, dinner and overnight stay.

5^th DAY: PORTOVENERE

After breakfast at the hotel, you will meet the tour guide. Steamer transfer to Portovenere.

During the crossing you will enjoy marvellous views on the Cinque Terre. In the morning you will be visiting the amazing medieval village of Portovenere that was deeply beloved by the English poet Lord Bayron. Lunch in a restaurant. In the afternoon, you will board a steamer and have a circular tour of the three islands (Palmaria – Tino – Tinetto), at the end of the tour the steamer will take you back to La Spezia. End of our duties.

The fee includes:

- 4 overnight stays in a 3 or 4 star hotel in the places specified in the programme,

accommodation in double rooms with private bathrooms
